The Paris International Hemophilia Training Centre is a three-site Hemophilia Treatment Centre (HTC), under the label of Paris AP-HP Hemophilia Treatment Centre (Paris AP-HP HTC). Each site has a comprehensive care program for patients with hemophilia and bleeding disorders. These sites, located in Paris or nearby suburbs, share some services, depending on the specificity of the hospital where they are located. Paris AP-HP HTC follows more than one thousand hemophilia patients (severe hemophilia, mild/moderate hemophilia, inhibitors) and patients with other congenital bleeding disorders (hemorrhagic disease from coagulation or platelet disorder). The three centres (Bicetre, Cochin, Necker - Enfants Malades) work closely together and are reference centres for primary hemophilia care centres and hospitals inside the Paris area (population 15 million). The fellos from the World Federation of Hemophilia are trained in any of/or all three of the sites, depending on their requests for specific training.

DESCRIPTION OF TRAINING PROGRAM
Clinical activities: Pediatric and adult medical and surgical comprehensive care, including orthopedic, urologic, neurosurgical surgery (adults), dentistry, EENT, general surgery (children and adults), genetic counseling, HCV and HIV care.
Laboratory activities/research: A coagulation laboratory is associated with the HTC. Research is pricipally oriented towards anti-FVIII inhibitors and clinical trials on coagulation factors.

Clinical activities: Pediatric medical and surgical comprehensive care, includign orthopedic surgery (children), neurosurgery (children) comprehensive care for central venous access devices for babies and children; genetic counseling, obstetrical management and prenatal diagnosis; comprehensive care for adults; HCV and HIV care.
Laboratory activities/research: A coagulation laboratory is associated with the centre. Research is oriented towards clinical trials with new therapies, national follow-up of the incidence of inhibitors and psychosocial aspects of long-term prophylaxis.
