DESCRIPTION OF TRAINING PROGRAM

Clinical activities: Participation in patient care for children and adults. The Van Creveldkliniek is responsible for the care of over 800 patients with hemophilia and allied bleeding disorders. Services include a large prophylactic program, orthopedic surgery, and programs for hepatitis C infection, and genetic counseling.

Laboratory activities/research: All coagulation tests, extensive research programs in the field of coagulation, research of pathogenesis of arthopathy.

Multidisciplinary activities/research: The Van Creveldkliniek has a multidisciplinary team of workers with all the disciplines involved in hemophilia care.

Additional information: The Van Creveldkliniek has a strong research program in hemophilia. Also it has initiated multicentre studies for hemophilia such as the PedNet registry and the Rodin study. The center can train up to two fellows annually.
