The WFH is expanding its youth programs to help foster the next generation of leaders in the bleeding disorders community and ensure that they are well prepared to take over a leadership role. The WFH youth leadership program includes fellowships/ scholarships, leadership skills training, and resources for young people.
Fellowships and scholarships
WFH Youth Fellowship program: The WFH offers fellowships to youth involved in national member organizations to attend the WFH Global NMO Training workshops, WFH World Congress, and General Assembly.
Susan Skinner Memorial Fund scholarships: Two scholarships per year are awarded to young women with bleeding disorders to attend the WFH World Congress or other WFH event. More
Leadership skills training
Advocacy in Action workshops: The WFH holds inter-regional workshops to help NMO leaders improve advocacy efforts by sharing tools and techniques, and focusing on specific challenges. Youth from participating countries are included to promote leadership and succession planning.
Global NMO Training workshops: These three-day workshops, held every two years before the WFH World Congress for national member organizations of the WFH, include capacity-building sessions for patient organizations in both developed and developing countries. Youth issues, succession planning, and
leadership are among the essential components of this program.

Journey Around the World: This game, designed for youth summer camps, helps campers learn about what it is like to live with a bleeding disorder in other parts of the world. More
Hemoaction cards: Developed by a psychologist specializing in bleeding disorders, this card game teaches young children about hemophilia in a fun and interactive way. More
