Established in 2004, this award honours a healthcare professional who has contributed significantly in furthering the mission and goals of the WFH in a volunteer role. Candidates for this award include doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, social workers, dentists and other health professionals who provide care and treatment to people with hemophilia or another inherited bleeding disorders.
The award is given every two years at Congress.
Criteria
- A number of years’ involvement in the work of WFH
- Involvement in one or several areas such as WFH committees and programs on blood safety, communications, healthcare development, fundraising, congress, or national member organizations
- Nominations for this Award are for an individual’s volunteer role with WFH and not for their professional role as healthcare provider or researcher
- Please note: current WFH Executive Committee members and WFH staff are not eligible
