Pietrogrande Prize

The Pietrogrande Prize was created in 2005 to recognize a healthcare professional who has contributed significantly to further the mission and goals of the Musculoskeletal Committee of the WFH.

The prize is named in honour of Dr. Vincenzo Pietrogrande, a leading orthopedic surgeon and director of the Institute of Clinical Orthopedics at the University of Milan, Italy. Dr. Pietrogrande was the first chair of the group that eventually became the Musculoskeletal Committee. The prize is presented annually, at the WFH Musculoskeletal Congress or WFH World Congress.
