ISTH endorses the second edition of the World Federation of Hemophilia’s Guidelines on the Management of Hemophilia

April 2013 — In its careful review, the ISTH noted the involvement of many experts from around the world, not only within the writing group but also in the elaborate review process. The society stated that these practical guidelines for the management of hemophilia clearly incorporate a wide range of views, and that the recommendations are consistent with current best practice. Elizabeth Myles appointed WFH’s new Chief Operating Officer
February 2013 — John E. Bournas, WFH CEO/executive director, announced the appointment of Elizabeth Myles to the newly created position of WFH chief operating officer. Elizabeth, formerly WFH director of communications and public policy, has been with the WFH since 1998. This new role will ensure continued exchange of information and collaboration between all WFH departments.
