For World Hemophilia Day 2010, the WFH is proud to launch “The Many Faces of Bleeding Disorders” video podcast. This video podcast celebrates the whole bleeding disorders community – people with hemophilia and symptomatic carriers, females and males with von Willebrand disease, as well as those with rarer factor deficiencies, and inherited platelet disorders.

The video podcast provides an overview of the various types of bleeding disorders, and:

  • Features the impact of these conditions through global patient perspectives, including:
    • Paul Wilton, severe hemophilia A, Canada
    • Pam Wilton, symptomatic carrier of hemophilia, Canada
    • Susan Halimeh, von Willebrand disease, Germany
    • Gabriel Lottaz, factor I deficiency, Switzerland

  • Includes a call-to-action for access and improved patient standard of care, featuring commentary from Paula Bolton-Maggs, D.M., FRCP, FRCPath, FRCPCH, consultant hematologist, Manchester Royal Infirmary and member, Executive Committee, WFH
