FAQ - Cancellation of WFH 2020 World Congress

The decision to cancel the upcoming WFH 2020 World Congress taking place in Kuala Lumpur from June 14 to 17, 2020 was taken as a response to recent measures put in place by the Malaysian Government, which, on March 16, 2020, instructed all registered organizations to postpone any conference, meeting or general assembly until June 30, 2020 over COVID-19 concerns.

As a result of the cancellation, the WFH will be waiving cancellation fees for all registrant categories. Full refunds will be processed in the manner in which payment was made. Refunds will be issued as of April 27, 2020. If your payment was processed by bank transfer, the Congress Secretariat will contact you with additional instructions. Feel free to reach us at registration@wfh.org for further details.

Accommodations booked through the WFH Housing Bureau will be refunded in the manner by which payment was made. Refunds will be issued as of April 27, 2020. If your payment was processed by bank transfer, the Congress Secretariat will contact you with additional instructions. The WFH is not responsible for accommodations booked outside the official WFH Housing Bureau block. Feel free to reach us at housing@wfh.org for more details.

Please contact your airline directly regarding ticket cancellations. Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, some airlines have already begun issuing cancellations, refunds and/or credits. The WFH is not responsible for any cancellation fees or penalties related to individual flight booking transactions. If the WFH was responsible for booking your flight, we will contact you directly with additional instructions.

Registration fees for WFH 2020 World Congress are non-transferable. Fees cannot be carried over to a future WFH event or to another person. Full refunds will be processed for all registered delegates instead.

Alternatively, if you wish to convert you registration fees into a donation (partially or in full), please contact registration@wfh.org.

Accepted abstracts are still scheduled to be published—either through the Wiley supplement or via electronic posters—depending on your individual acceptance status. Further details will be communicated to abstract presenters.

Late-breaking abstracts will unfortunately no longer be accepted due to the cancellation of the WFH 2020 World Congress.
