N.B
Scotland is part of the UK and abides by many of the same rules of the road as other parts of the country, there is a significant difference when it comes to the permitted level of alcohol whilst driving in Scotland. With the limits being so low that a single pint of beer or glass of wine can put you over the drink-drive limit. The best advice is that if you are planning to drive whilst visiting Scotland then you should consume NO alcohol. If you do consume alcohol then utilize the extensive public transport system in order to reach your desired location. Any person caught drinking and driving will be arrested by the Police.
