Development Grant Program

What is the Development Grant Program?

The WFH Development Grant Program (DGP) aims to encourage new and innovative ideas and projects to support the inherited bleeding disorders community worldwide.

The program is designed to provide support for new and innovative projects from WFH patient organizations, related to one or more of the six areas of the WFH Development Model, with the aim of achieving sustainable comprehensive care and Treatment for All.

The overall objectives of the program are to:

  • Assist national member organizations (NMOs) in developing and strengthening their skills
  • Provide tools to help NMOs create and implement successful and sustainable development projects
  • Empower NMOs to better advocate and support the improvements of bleeding disorders care in their countries

The WFH will award one-time grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 USD for a duration of 6 to 24 months.

Eligibility

The Development Grant Program is open to all NMOs.

How to Write a Project Proposal

The World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) hosted a webinar for National Member Organizations (NMO) interested in applying for the WFH Development Grant Program (DGP) and/or that would like to have a better understanding on key elements of project proposal development.

The goal of the DGP is to encourage new and innovative projects to support the inherited bleeding disorders community worldwide.

This webinar provided WFH NMOs with an overview of the program, useful information on how to develop an effective project application, and an opportunity for participants to ask questions.
