Join us for a high-profile six-day virtual event

The World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) is committed to bringing the bleeding disorders community together in the name of Treatment for All. This commitment is especially important during the COVID-19 crisis. In June 2020, we will be bringing our community together virtually.

What is the WFH Virtual Summit?

The WFH Virtual Summit is a series of FREE live and recorded sessions that will take place from June 14 to 19, 2020 and will allow you to connect with the community and increase your knowledge from the comfort of your home or office. A wide variety of sessions will be recorded and available for viewing later.

The WFH Virtual Summit will be held in English with closed captioning in French, Spanish, Russian and Arabic for select Plenaries, WFH, Multidisciplinary and Medical Sessions.

*Closed captioning is only available for desktop users. Mobile devices, including cell phones and tablets, are not compatible with the closed captioning software.

What to expect:

  1. Inspiring keynotes and dozens of concurrent sessions
  2. Professional multidisciplinary tracks for nurses, as well as psychosocial, dental, lab sciences and musculoskeletal practitioners
  3. Pre-summit events, workshops, and late-breaking sessions

Certificates

Request a certificate

Certificates will be issued on demand for attendance, speakers, poster presenters, and CME accreditation. Please fill out the form to request a certificate. For CME accreditation*, make sure you have completed and returned the necessary session evaluations. Please refer to the section below for more details. Questions? Contact

*Please note that CME credits can only be claimed for sessions viewed from June 14-19, 2020. Credit cannot be claimed for sessions watched on demand after the event.

CME Accreditation

The WFH Virtual Summit: Connecting the Global Bleeding Disorders Community, being held from June 14 to 19, 2020, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 19 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that they spent in the educational activity. The daily credit breakdown is as follows:

  • June 14, 2020: 4 credits
  • June 15, 2020: 3 credits
  • June 16, 2020: 3 credits
  • June 17, 2020: 3 credits
  • June 18, 2020: 3 credits
  • June 19, 2020: 3 credits

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.

Live educational activities occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC® s, are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

How do I claim credits?

To claim CME credits, participants will need to actively engage in the live sessions taking place during the conference days from June 14 to 19, 2020. They will also have to answer the respective session evaluations by June 20 (available once the live sessions have concluded).

To accumulate credits over the conference, delegates will need to participate in sessions from different time slots throughout the day. If they wish to accumulate the full amount possible for the day, they will need to participate and answer the evaluations of one session for each time slot.
